Job Summary

The Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Colorado College announces a one-year, non-tenure track Visiting Assistant Professor position to teach in the Spanish program, to begin in August 2025. Area of specialty open. A review of completed applicant files will begin immediately.

Responsibilities for the position entail teaching six courses, including introductory, intermediate, and/or advanced Spanish. A demonstration of and passion for language instruction is essential.

Colorado College is a private, undergraduate, highly selective liberal arts institution enrolling approximately 2200 students. The college operates under a unique academic model called the Block Plan. Students take one course at a time for three-and-a-half weeks with a four-day break between courses. Faculty teach six of the eight blocks in the academic year with the remaining two designated as non-teaching blocks. Minimum Qualifications

ABD and teaching experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

PhD (or near completion) and teaching experience required.
