Job Summary

Join our team and make a difference in the lives of children and families! We’re seeking a dedicated childcare professional to create a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment where every child can thrive. In this role, you’ll support age-appropriate learning experiences, foster positive development, and ensure compliance with Colorado Department of Human Services licensing standards. You’ll work with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, adapting to their unique needs while collaborating with a supportive team. The hours for this position may vary Monday through Friday between 7:30 AM and 5:30 PM, up to 1,000 hours per fiscal year.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that materials, equipment and learning environment are safe, healthy and developmentally appropriate.
• Assists in implementation of daily activities and meaningful experiences for small groups, large groups and individually.
• Uses a variety of appropriate guidance and classroom management techniques to work effectively with children, including positive reinforcements that support positive behavior that is age/development appropriate.
• Responsible for food handling and service to meet USDA and sanitation regulations as required by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age. State approved Adult and Child CPR, First Aid and Standard Precaution Procedures.
  • Must have current pre-employment physical examination, proof of current vaccinations, knowledge of infectious diseases and preventative measures to reduce the spread of disease, and a working knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices with young children.
  • Maintain Colorado State mandated training for childcare providers-minimum of 15 hours per year to include 3 hours of social emotional training. Mandatory reporter.

Must be flexible and able to react appropriately to active children. Frequent bending, standing, crawling, stooping, reaching, carrying, and pushing; moderate physical effort (lifting to 50 lbs.) The environment is frequently noisy and often involves working on the floor or with small chairs/tables. Exposure to infectious diseases.


Employment is contingent upon a fingerprint investigation and subsequent monitoring through the CBI and FBI

Preferred Qualifications

  • Early Childhood Teacher certification.

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:

The hiring range for this position varies based on the level of ECE credential held at the time of hire:  

  • Level 1-2: $19.25 per hour
  • Level 3-4: $19.90 per hour
  • Level 5-6: $20.60 per hour
