Job Summary

The Department of Human Biology and Kinesiology (HBK) at Colorado College invites applications for a visiting instructor or professor position for 1-3 courses of Introduction to Human Nutrition, HK125, in the spring and/or summer of 2027.

Colorado College is a liberal arts college of approximately 2,000 students. We utilize a block-plan teaching model in which students take one class at a time, and faculty teach one class at a time, meeting three (3) hours per day for 18 days. The Introduction to Human Nutrition courses, HK125, would be taught in any two of the blocks of the spring semester (blocks 5, 6, 7 and/or 8) and possibly summer block A. Note, there is an 11-day spring break between blocks 6 and 7, and 11 days between blocks 8 and A. The Department of Human Biology and Kinesiology offers a minor in HBK with hands-on experiences and student-centered data analysis. Minimum Qualifications

A master’s degree in human nutrition, applied or exercise physiology, or related field and post-secondary teaching experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with an earned RD/N and/or PhD are preferred. Post-secondary teaching experience in the field of human nutrition is preferred.
