Job Summary

This position supports Community Impact (the Collaborative for Community Engagement & college access programs) and the Center for Global Education and Field Study (CGE&FS) (henceforth referred to as “associated areas”). As a member of both teams, this position will perform a variety of administrative tasks to support the effective operation of programs, services, initiatives, related courses, events, and logistics that support the missions and goals of both areas.

 

Responsibilities

- Provides administrative and logistical support for all associated areas, supporting internal meetings and staff processes as well as administrative and logistical needs of stakeholder-facing office events, services, programs, processes, data gathering and assessment practices.

- Manage the development and implementation of the Summit online platform for all associated areas, building, managing and responding to application, event management, database, and communication functions; liaise with Ideal-Logic to troubleshoot and evolve platform.

- Support communications for associated areas, to include monitoring, routing, and responding to inquiries to main phone numbers and general emails for associated offices, and coordinating and supporting marketing, website and social media management, messaging to stakeholders, and reporting.

- Support financial logistics for associated areas, to include processing payments to and from stakeholders; student employment logistics; purchasing, reconciling, and accounting; and associated documentation and contracts.

- Coordinate and support student employees for the Center for Global Education and Field Study.

- Actively contribute to associated teams and participate in team meetings, processes, and group goals.

- Actively support the college’s commitment to be an antiracist institution by understanding, engaging with, and promoting diversity, inclusion, and equity in the college community.

- Promote a culture of safety and environmental protection by working in a safe manner; immediately reporting unsafe situations and accidents; following college procedures; and participating in appropriate safety training.

- Demonstrate environmental sustainability by using college resources wisely and supporting the college’s sustainability initiatives and innovation.

- Participate in and support evening and weekend events as needed.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Two years college/Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience plus a minimum of three years of office/clerical experience to include either web design/management or database management/analysis; proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Publisher, and web design software; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and develop positive relationships with people from different cultural backgrounds; basic data analysis skills; budget management/analytical skills; ability to think critically and solve problems; good judgment and ability to handle confidential/sensitive information with discretion; good organizational and customer service skills; effective time management skills; ability to operate standard office equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree; familiarity with associated fields (community engagement, college access, global education, and/or field study); experience supervising student employees and working with students in a higher education setting; ability to work autonomously and self-directed, to take initiative, and to collaborate.

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:

  • Band C; $20.44 to $24.31 per hour
