Job Summary

Performs activities supporting the employment processes for staff and faculty hires and enters data into the HRIS for new hires and volunteers as well as processing all employee job changes.

 

Responsibilities

· Perform complex data entry for a variety of Human Resources functions.

· Run and audit reports to ensure accuracy and communicate with HR staff on changes.

· Process employment verifications and I9s, coordinating with the Administrative Assistant as needed.

· Works closely with and cross trains with the Human Resources Coordinator and assists other HR colleagues as assigned.

· Provide front office coverage as needed; assist visitors to the department and direct requests for assistance to HR staff as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

High school graduate with a minimum of 3 years related work experience or combination thereof; intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word. Must be able to work independently, accurately, and with discretion; must demonstrate a high level of resourcefulness, diplomacy, integrity, and professionalism in all aspects of responsibilities and maintain the confidential nature of sensitive information and issues that arise in the course of the job; must be skilled in making decisions by seeking out best alternatives. Requires ability to work in a fast-paced environment with timelines and be able to navigate shifting priorities with ease. Outstanding organizational, writing, and oral communication skills; excellent customer service skills working with diverse constituencies and different cultural backgrounds; demonstrated willingness to take initiative.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience using an integrated Applicant Tracking System; HR database; and reporting tool; experience working in an academic setting; knowledge of I-9 and E-Verify regulations and work authorization documents for non-US citizens. Experience working with diverse populations and constituents.

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:

  • Band D; $22.30 to $26.75 per hour NF
