Job Summary

Colorado College is seeking a Finance Analyst to support our Facilities Services department. In this role, you will assist with financial operations, analyze budgets, and provide strategic insights to support facilities leadership, shop managers, and campus operations. You’ll oversee financial reporting, budget tracking, and compliance while leading a team of administrative staff.

Responsibilities

· Budget Development & Analysis: Assist the AVP and leadership team in the development, preparation, monitoring and analysis of the annual operating and capital budgets for Facilities Services.

· Financial Management & Compliance: Develop and track performance measures, recommend and facilitate changes, and ensure compliance with college accounting and purchasing procedures. Ensure the accuracy of all fiscal entries in the project tracking system and reconcile to college accounting software. Manages all deposits, journal entries, recharge feeds, and prepares accurate expense reports for reimbursement requests.

· Departmental Support: Assist shop managers in preparing and managing their department operating budgets. Review and reallocate budgets as necessary and produce operating budget and project-specific reports to aid shop manager budget oversight.

· Administrative Leadership: Manage and lead a team of administrative staff supporting the administration of Facilities Services and Campus Operations.

· Financial Modeling & Capital Project Reconciliation: Develop management and financial models to test new ideas, projects and processes. Complete monthly closing and reconciliation of capital project records and accurate reporting of capital transactions and equipment purchases.

· Renewal & Repair Program Support: Assist Facilities Services leadership in the development of the annual Renewal and Repair (R&R) program.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, business administration or a related field with a minimum of three years of work experience in construction, facilities or education or comparable combination of education and experience. Strong skills in supervision, accounting practices, computer literacy in various software and databases; excellent verbal and written communication, critical thinking and solving problems, process improvements, customer service, and navigating shifting priorities. Ability to work independently, accurately and with discretion; high level of resourcefulness, diplomacy, integrity and professionalism needed in all aspects of responsibilities; attention to detail and accuracy;; to communicate effectively and develop positive relationships with people from different cultural backgrounds; and to work in a demanding and busy environment; Physical requirements include working effectively in a noisy and sometimes dusty environment with some occasional chemical odors that our shops may utilize in their work.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in higher education facilities organization; experience using Banner or another SAP based enterprise resource planning (ERP) system; experience in TMA or an alternative computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) platform.

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:

  • Band F; $26.98 to $32.36 per hour
