Job Summary
This position requires a detail-oriented critical thinker who is systems-oriented, and willing to explore possibilities in all aspects of the job. At Creativity and Innovation (C&I), we believe that creativity is an innate human trait that can be consciously cultivated. This position reports to and collaborates with the Director of C&I, supports the Crown Center for Teaching, and works closely with faculty, students and staff.
Responsibilities
Programing and Instructional Support:
Guide, mentor, and supervise students developing skills to facilitate creativity workshops.
Outreach to faculty to invite participation and dissemination information.
Facilitate curricular and co-curricular workshops that promote creative thinking, including public programming.
Collect data and assessments of new programs: generate reports, administer, and evaluate surveys.
Develop vision and manage student worker program, including hiring, supervising, scheduling, and paying students.
Office Administration:
Facilitate, organize, develop, evaluate, and clarify in-office communication systems for Crown and C&I.
Oversee success of meetings and workshops: schedule, prepare for materials/food, take and distribute minutes.
Assist C&I director with budget administration.
Maintain and track supply inventory, organization, and distribution.
Marketing/Communications:
Create marketing campaigns and systems; manage PR for all programs, events, and workshops.
Develop, evaluate, and update the CCT and C&I websites.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of three years of experience in program management, ability to independently initiate, organize, and follow through with program plans; strong organizational and communication skills; meticulous attention to detail with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects of varying complexity and urgency. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record insurable by Colorado College’s motor vehicle insurance carrier.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree; supervisory and budget development experience; two years of experience working in higher education.
