Job Summary

The Community Standards and Student Support Coordinator plays a pivotal role in leading the administration and strategic implementation of student conduct and support processes, with a key focus on the institution-wide integration of the Maxient case management system. This position coordinates the implementation of countermeasures developed by the institution's CARE team and provides high-level support for complex conduct cases and appeals. The Coordinator partners with senior leadership, faculty, and various campus departments to foster a positive, inclusive learning environment while rigorously upholding institutional standards and policies.

 

Responsibilities

Crisis Intervention Leadership: Direct the implementation of protocols for identifying, assessing, and intervening with students in crisis, integrating CARE team efforts with the student conduct process to enhance student safety and well-being.

Advisory Leadership: Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership, faculty, and staff on matters related to student conduct policies and procedures, enhancing understanding and compliance across the institution.

Collaborative Partnerships: Forge strategic collaborations with campus partners, including mental health services, residential experience, academic affairs, and public safety, to comprehensively address the needs of students in distress and manage conduct issues effectively.

Maxient Administration: Oversee the campus-wide implementation of the Maxient case management system, including strategic planning, training, and support to ensure optimal use across departments while configuring user profiles and case types.

Strategic Oversight: Direct the management of student conduct and CARE cases, ensuring efficient intake, referral, and adjudication processes, while aligning practices with institutional goals and best practices.

 Data-Driven Decision Making: Lead the collection and analysis of data from CARE reports, facilitating outreach and determining appropriate services and interventions for students in crisis.

Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations concerning student conduct, FERPA, and Clery, while promoting best practices in conduct management and student support.

Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness to the evolving needs of the institution.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field; proficient with software programs such as Microsoft Office Suites; excellent oral and written communication skills, judgement, and ability to handle confidential/sensitive information with discretion; ability to develop positive relationships with people from different cultural backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with the Maxient database or similar case management systems used in higher education.

Knowledge of Legal issues related to student conduct, Title IX, and other relevant regulations.

Experience with Behavioral intervention and threat assessment.

Experience with QPR, Mental Health First Aid, Trauma informed care, or similar training.

Master’s degree in Student Affairs, Social Work, Higer Education Administration or a related field.

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:

  • Band F; $56,116 to $67,337 per year EF
