Colorado College is seeking an enthusiastic and strategic Assistant Director of Parent & Family Engagement to enhance family involvement and strengthen relationships between CC families and the college!
Responsibilities
Lead Exciting Events – Plan and execute signature programs like Family Weekend, Summer Send-Offs, Affinity Receptions, and more to create memorable experiences for CC families.
Support New Families – Help families navigate the transition from high school to college with engaging orientation programs like CC in the Spotlight, New Student Orientation, and Winter Student Orientation.
Communicate & Connect – Develop and manage a comprehensive communications plan through the CC Parent Portal, ensuring families stay informed and engaged with campus resources and events.
Build a Strong Parent Network – Support the Associate Director in establishing a dynamic parent volunteer program, empowering families to actively contribute to the CC community.
Champion Inclusion – Prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of leadership, programming, recruitment, and communication to foster a welcoming and supportive environment.
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least three years of experience in higher education, event planning, or a related field.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong skills in spelling, grammar, and basic business math.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively and develop positive relationships with people from different cultural backgrounds.
· Strong critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and sound judgment in handling confidential information
· Excellent organizational and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
· Master’s degree in higher education or similar field.
· Experience with CampusESP, Blackthorn event management software, Canva, Qualtrics, Salesforce Affinaquest CRM, Emma email marketing, Momentus venue management, and Cascade website management or similar programs with a demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software.
· Background in parent and family engagement programs, with knowledge of industry best practices.
· Ability to articulate the benefits of a degree from a private liberal arts college.

As part of the total compensation for Staff and Faculty roles, we offer a competitive benefits package including:
